Wilco completed two new modern washroom facilities in Fish Creek Provincial Park, located at the Bankside and Bebo Grove day-use areas. Designed with a mountain modern aesthetic, the buildings feature timber accents, steel elements, and cross-laminated timber roof panels. The scope included demolition of the aging 1970s wood structures and tanks, site stripping and regrading, installation of new sanitary and electrical utilities, cast-in-place concrete foundations, and full surface restoration once the buildings were erected. This work complements the six kilometres of reconstructed pathways Wilco delivered throughout the park, stretching from Mallard Point to The Ranche. Our team excels at construction in sensitive natural environments, minimizing disturbance while maintaining high standards of craftsmanship and environmental stewardship. Wilco’s experience in provincial and national parks is extensive, with a portfolio spanning Fish Creek, Bragg Creek, Big Hill Springs, Bow Valley, Kananaskis, Peter Lougheed, Spray Valley, Kootenay, Banff, Glacier, and Waterton. Projects have included trailheads, parking areas, bridges, shoreline works, washroom buildings, and roadway improvements – demonstrating Wilco’s capability in diverse, environmentally sensitive settings.
