The Battlefords Provincial Park Sewage Lagoon project, located in Saskatchewan, was substantially performed in November 2025. Wilco served as prime contractor, completing the work on schedule while adhering to all contract specifications and regulatory permits. All scopes were self-performed with in-house forces.
The project reconstructed and expanded the existing primary (5,300 m²) and secondary cells into elevated, deeper, higher-capacity structures within the original footprint. Key activities included site preparations such as clearing, grubbing, fence removal, and topsoil stripping; dewatering, sludge removal and disposal, and effluent management; approximately 25,000 m³ of earthworks with liner base conditioning; installation of 26,850 m² of 60 mil HDPE liner and geocomposite underlay venting liner; live tapping of two existing force mains and installation of new HDPE force mains to influent structures; construction of a new dump chute, equalization line, overflow structure, and discharge structure; and landscape improvements including access road, game fencing, and restoration.
The isolated site demanded meticulous logistical planning to maintain efficient supply chains for workforce and equipment.
