This new athletic facility in northwest Calgary is nearing completion and scheduled to open in late 2026. The site is complex, requiring major utility upgrades – including connections to a nearby water feedermain and an ENMAX service line – before sports field construction and parking lot development could proceed. Over the past year, Wilco tied utilities into Country Hills Boulevard, built MSE retaining walls, and constructed the playfields atop a two-metre base of drainage gravel. A timber-frame and glulam washroom building with a rooftop viewing deck now overlooks the fields, offering an elevated spectator experience. In 2026, Wilco will complete site landscaping, parking lot and driveway access, and final finishing work to ready the facility for public use. Our extensive experience in artificial sports field construction, combined with our ability to self-perform multiple scopes of work simultaneously, will ensure the project is delivered efficiently and on schedule. This facility is poised to become a major recreation hub for northwest Calgary, with strong potential to host tournaments and events, and a future fieldhouse planned to further enhance its capabilities.
