Wilco has been working in Mahogany since 2009, helping shape more than 70 acres of parks and greenspaces that form the heart of the community. Its extensive pathway network connects residents to the lake and beach areas, neighbourhood parks, and the thriving urban village. In 2025, Wilco continued this legacy by developing greenspaces along the community’s southern edge – planting 500 boulevard trees, constructing three new parks and playgrounds, and landscaping the soccer fields and future school sites. Our crews used CAT 627 and 623 scrapers to complete bulk earthworks and shape the land, enabling rapid installation of big-roll sod and irrigation systems. Today, Mahogany is home to approximately 14,000 residents and has evolved into a vibrant urban village in Calgary’s southeast. The completion of the 13-acre Central Green park further strengthens the community, linking Westman Village to surrounding lakefront promenades and creating a major gathering space for recreation and events. Wilco is proud to have contributed to the growth and long-term vision of one of Calgary’s most celebrated neighbourhoods.
