This project involved large-scale area grading for a new subdivision, covering over 110 hectares of land. The scope included wetland protection measures, dewatering operations, clearing and grubbing, and construction of haul roads to support mass earthworks activities. Work also involved stripping approximately 200,000 m³ of topsoil and hauling it to an offsite stockpile for future reuse, along with 675,000 m³ of onsite excavation and embankment placement to achieve the required development grades.
Wilco managed complex earthworks logistics, environmental constraints, and sequencing to maintain productivity while protecting sensitive wetland areas. The grading program established the foundational landform for future residential and infrastructure development, ensuring compliance with engineering design requirements and regulatory approvals. This large-scale earthworks effort demonstrated Wilco’s capability in heavy civil and land development construction with a strong focus on efficiency, environmental stewardship, and quality control.
