Wilco moved 1,000,000 m3 of earth on this site, to shape the community and prepare for site services and surface works to follow. The storm pond excavation in the lowest elevation onsite required extensive rock ripping and removal of sandstone boulders and rubble, which was crushed onsite to create usable fill material. Wilco’s combination of CAT 627s, 623s, and K-Tec/Volvo scraper units blended with CAT 745 rock trucks moved the fill onsite and shaped the land. Our grading crews work closely with our survey team to utilize GPS precision grade equipment and technology on our machines, and to ensure grades are complete with accuracy the first time.
