This space is more than just a place to manage stormwater, this is a true Storm Park. The project expands on the success of the Nautilus concept system to create a massive 32 acre wetland naturalized environment. Wilco started this project in April, dewatering the site, finishing the grading and starting on deep storm utilities and box culverts. By November, the civil work is done, 400 trees are planted, and the site is being seeded and ready for landscape establishment in the spring. Over the winter, the timber boardwalk will be completed in frozen conditions over the treatment wetland. Wilco’s team has completed all scopes here to date: site grading, deep storm utilities, concrete works, landscaping, rock walls, and more. Wilco’s project team is skilled at brainstorming how to sequence and accelerate these projects, completing multiple scopes simultaneously and highlighting the advantage of having such a diverse and skilled workforce. The pond will pump and cycle stormwater through the wetland and stream network, settling out sediments and clarifying water quality prior to discharge.
