Located next to the Shane Homes YMCA, this site will include two multi-sport artificial sports fields. Wilco started this project late 2024; stripping and grading the site, installing a storm drainage system along with water and sanitary services, building retaining walls and sheet pile retention walls, and constructing the base of the playfields. Work in 2025 will include the construction of an architecturally creative washroom pavilion for the site, with artistic timber columns and a curving, styled layout, and a rooftop patio for viewing the fields. The rest of the works will include sports field lighting, parking lot construction, concrete sidewalks and curbs, and access from Country Hills Blvd into the site. Wilco’s experience building artificial sports fields, and our ability to complete multiple scopes of work in-house and simultaneously will be an asset in getting this project completed efficiently and on schedule, ready to add to Calgary’s recreation opportunities in the northwest corner of the city.
