South East Parks

The south east park system is a beautiful 215 acre open space featuring both man-made and natural landscapes, with interpretive opportunities relating to the natural wetalnds which were intensively preserved during construction
Wilco has performed all work in this park system, including the construction of anita langford and hyde parks, as well as the storm water retention pond in the north west corner,
Diligent efforts were made to work with minimal disruption to the naturalized landscape, ensuring that the resulting man made spaces incorporated seamlessly into it’s surroundings
civil work included:
- oclearing and grubbing of existing vegetation
- 10 acres of existing pond and wetland dewatering
- 215 acres of topsoil stripping
- 750,000m3 of earth movement for area grading, including storm water retention pond construction
- 250m of storm culverts
- 30m pedestrian bridge
park work included:
two parking areas and entrance roads, concrete curbing, several kms of crusher dust and asphalt trails, sportsfield construction (2 ballfields/ 3 soccer fields), two neighborhood play areas, site furniture, pathway lighting, automated irrigation systems, extensive planting and landscape maintenance
